The Death of Dynamic Range..
For tech heads out there curious about the whole loudness war I sometimes rave about, here's an interesting article I came across that details it pretty good, I found it to be an interesting read so I thought i'd share it.
It basically illustrates just how bad modern music has gotten with heavy handed compression and limiting. It's terrible what labels will do just to chase a few extra bucks.
songstowearpantsto.com – Check this guy out, it’s pretty damned funny.
Just though i'd share a link with you that I came across and thought was not only interesting but pretty funny too. Andrew from songstowearpants.com takes random submissions/ideas from his followers and then turns them into songs, no matter how ridiculous the concept.
While a lot of his music isn't quite my cup of tea, I have a tremendous amount of respect for this dude. He has written an absolutely mind boggling amount of music in more genres than you'd think possible, and somehow manages to keep each song unique. How he is able to write so much music, but more importantly keep it interesting after so many songs is completely beyond me. Anyways, check him out here, I think you'll enjoy it..
Besides, if you don't find songs about a robot talking about never being in love funny, then all hope is truly lost for you.
